We would like to put the minds of our patients and clients at ease regarding the recent alert from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regarding the potential adverse events in our pets from isoxazoline products (Bravecto, Credelio, Nexgard, and Simparica). While medicine is always changing, we make it our priority to stay on top of any new and changing information on products we recommend for our patients.
Anytime we prescribe Bravecto, or any product, an examination is required so our veterinarians can make the best individualized recommendations possible for each of our patients. As the FDA indicated in their alert, they consider products in the isoxazoline class to be safe and effective for dogs and cats. If you have any specific questions regarding your pet’s prevention protocol, please call our office at 540-776-0700 or send us an e-mail at [email protected].
